Maventa E-invoicing registration FAQ

1. What does it mean that the company 'BID/VAT is already taken' and what actions should I take?

If the registation submission results in the error: "Registration Failed, BID Already Taken" it means that the My Company Business ID or VAT number has already been registered at Maventa's database.

1. Check that the country is correct.

If this is not the problem then it means someone has already registered the company BID using Maventa's external registration - presumably another member of the company.

2. The person who registered the company needs to be identified to log into their Maventa account at https://secure.maventa.com. Under 'Settings' they should obtain their User API key and Company UUID. 

3. Then the following information complete list of information should be submitted to PlanMill Customer Care:

User API key - found at the Maventa Account under Settings
Company UUID - found at the Maventa Account under Settings
Business ID/VAT (which has been registered already according to the error)
Country in which that BID/VAT is registered
User email - this is the Maventa Admininistrator account Username which was used to obtain the above user API key and Company UUID
First name and Last name of that Maventa Administrator.

Note: Please ensure under Settings > Users in the Maventa account that the role of the user account provided is in fact 'ADMIN' and not just 'USER' .


4. If no credentials for a Maventa account with 'ADMIN' role can be accessed then a CEO, CFO or their representative will need to contact Maventa support (http://maventa.zendesk.com) with the company's name and Business ID for a solution.



2. What does it mean: 'You have now registered this MyCompany at Maventa but a user account already exists for this email' ?

The registration has suceeded however the Maventa account administrator email submitted was already registered previously at Maventa e.g. for some other company. Follow these steps before you can commence invoicing:

1. For security reasons, the User API key attached to that email indentifier is needed to be obtained externally from Maventa by logging into https://secure.maventa.com . Username is the email address, password would have been sent previously by Maventa to that email address. 

2. Select the correct company and then under 'Settings' you will see the User API key and Company UUID.

3. Supply to PlanMill Customer care all the same information as at FAQ point 1.

All information is still required in this case as our consultants will need to ensure a correct match between the user and the appropriate 'My Company' in your PlanMill instance.
